As much as I love living here in Montana, I also love getting out and traveling, meeting new people, and seeing how the rest of the world lives.
When it comes to travel, picking the destination can honestly be just as fun as the trip itself. But before you go booking that next getaway, there’s one question worth asking first: “Is it safe?”

A new list from the U.S. State Department has been released, highlighting countries that aren’t considered safe for American tourists right now.
For example, with everything going on in Iran, it’s probably not the time to be planning a vacation there. But it’s definitely not the only place that raises concerns.
Several countries right now are dealing with ongoing conflict, high crime, or political instability that can make travel there pretty risky.
Travel Planning Starts With Safety
By all means, go see the world. That’s always a good thing. Just do a little homework before you go.
Most of the places on your list are perfectly safe and worth every bit of the trip. But the ones on this “Do Not Travel” list? Those are the ones you might want to think twice about, or just hold off on for now.
