Great Falls House Fire Leaves Home A Total Loss

According to Great Falls Fire Rescue, a house fire late Wednesday night will be considered a "total loss."

While the damage was severe, the good news is that no one was hurt in the fire.

Fire Crews Respond To Wednesday Night Call

Fire crews in Great Falls were called out around 7:30 Wednesday evening after reports of a house fire.

When they arrived at the scene at 1525 Fourth Avenue NW, the fire was already fully involved, with flames coming through the roof. A nearby camper had also caught fire.

Getting to the house was not easy. Crews had to deal with heavy vegetation and burning debris that blocked their path and slowed their response.

Cause Of Fire Still Under Investigation

Once firefighters were able to clear a way and make entry, they confirmed that no people or pets were inside the home.

At that point, crews shifted to a defensive strategy since the structure had become unsafe due to the amount of damage.

As of now, Great Falls Fire Rescue is still working to determine what caused the fire.

Thankfully, no one was injured, and no one has been displaced, as the house was unoccupied at the time. While it is a tough loss, it could have been much worse.
