Recent Gas Prices In Great Falls
I came across an article from the Fairfield Sun Times that broke down the most recent gas prices in Great Falls.
What surprised me wasn’t that gas dropped two cents from the week before. It was how much higher prices are compared to a year ago.
We constantly hear about prices coming down, but a lot of folks aren’t feeling it in their bank accounts. Gas prices are a perfect example of that.
Current Gas Price Comparison
Right now, the average price for gas in Great Falls is about $2.80 a gallon. That’s actually a little cheaper than the statewide average of $2.86.
The problem is that gas was around $2.70 a gallon at this same time last year.
That works out to about a 3.5 percent increase year over year.
So while gas might be slightly cheaper than it was earlier this month, you’re still paying more at the pump than you were just 12 months ago.
