Fire Up the Grill—But Not for These Meats

It's probably all in my head, but I think a steak is always better tasting when it's been grilled.

With the unofficial kickoff to summer, Memorial Day, coming up soon, I'm sure plenty of you are gearing up for grilling season.

I'll admit it, I've done some grilling in the winter, but it's always much more enjoyable being able to man the grill in a pair of shorts with a cold drink.

While steak might be my favorite meal from the grill, our family doesn't discriminate against proteins. We also grill ribs, steaks, burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and fish.

That said, there are some meats that I had never thought about grilling only to find out are illegal to BBQ under the Big Sky.

Not Every Beast Is Meant for the Flame

Honestly, when you see the animals these illegal meats come from, you might not have a hard time understanding why they are illegal.

Some of them I can't even imagine anyone looked at and thought, "I want to eat that," unless it was out of pure desperation and hunger.

Some of the animals, which you'll see below, are so small that they would barely constitute an appetizer, let alone a meal.
