You certainly cannot say that Tim Montana has not worked hard over the course of his career.  I got to know Tim back when he was pushing his first single, "Butte, America" way back in 2007 and he was working hard then as he came to our radio stations personally and convinced us to give the song a few spins on the local airwaves.  He had recently returned from school in California where he had studied under the legendary Johnny Hiland, which while impressive, was just the tip of the iceberg.

Tim moved to Nashville where he would live for over a decade pursuing success in Music City and making impressive friends along the way.  David Letterman had him perform "Butte, America" on his Late Show on CBS.  Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top would come into the picture on a song called "This Beard Came Here to Party" which became the anthem of the Boston Red Sox on their way to the 2013 World Series title.  He became a frequent collaborator and friend of Kid Rock.  Charlie Sheen directed the video for his song "Mostly Stoned".  He put together a resume that matches or exceeds any musician to come out of the Treasure State.  But it was not the level that Tim was happy with, so it was back to the Treasure State he would go to collaborate again with Billy Gibbons, not on a song, but as owners of The World-Famous Wise River Club where Tim, his wife, Danielle, and their four beautiful kids planned to slow down for a while as primary operators.  And that is coincidentally the same time when Tim Montana officially and unexpectedly became a rock star.

Tim took a swing at rock music and connected with a solid hit.  "The Devil You Know" became a Top 5 single shooting Tim into the spotlight, this time on the rock music stage.  Back on the road he went where he is currently sharing time with such big-name rock acts such as Bush and Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains.  And now things are taking another crazy turn with the release of his latest single "Savage".

"Savage" is taking off in a big way.  It has just entered the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart at #39 and on the Mediabase chart it just jumped 10 spots to #27.  This puts him exactly 2 spots behind the latest release from Judas Priest, 8 spots behind Motley Crue's new single and 9 spots behind the new one from Pearl Jam this week.  Some pretty big names indeed.  And Tim is excited.  "It feels like insanity," he told us.  "I know I've put the work in, but to see my music finally acknowledged on this level is INSANITY!" he added, even though it's coming at a late and unexpected stage in his career.  "I've always said "God, if I don't hit by 40, maybe I'll do something else, like run a bar."  He's clearly got a sense of humor and waited until I was 39."

Tim's new album's official release date is July 12.  Preorder it or add it on all digital and streaming platforms.here.
