Montana DOJ Warns of Disturbing New Mail Scam
We live in a time where it's easier than ever to scam and/or trick people into giving up their hard-earned money. Now, Montanans are on high-alert following a disturbing alert from the Montana Department of Justice.
A Sick & Disturbing Scam Is Plaguing Montanans

It's shocking to say the least but it's happening - sick individuals are trying to incriminate innocent people into being busted for a disgusting crime like possession of child sexual abuse material.
According to a report from KTVH.com, the mail contains the graphic, illegal material with a QR code and web address for payment.
It should come as no surprise that the low-lives behind the scam are requesting payment by Bitcoin and CashApp, likely to avoid being tracked down.
The letter also tells people that they have about 36 hours to pay or authorities will be contacted.
What Can You Do About This Graphic Scam?
It might feel like you're giving the scammers what they want, but you're supposed to do what they're threatening you with: calling law enforcement.

""If you receive one of these letters do not make the ransom payment and contact local law enforcement immediately!" authorities said in their Facebook post.
The report from KTVH says that some reports say the letters don't have a return address and have Canadian postage. Stay vigilant and hopefully, authorities bring the sick individual or individuals to justice sooner than later.
