I can't even begin to tell you how many floats there were; my best guess is that there were well over 100.

The parade started at 11 o'clock sharp and easily ran about an hour and a half.

This year, the parade route began near 1st Avenue South and Park Drive.  Floats headed east on 1st Avenue South before turning onto 8th Street and then onto Central Avenue.  The parade route headed west towards the Civic Center along Central Avenue before disbanding in Margaret Park (north of the Civic Center).

Reflecting on the Great Falls 4th of July Parade 2024

Honestly, the best thing about any gathering in downtown Great Falls is the number of people who come out to enjoy the town.

All too often, Great Falls gets a bad rap; even locals occasionally complain about things.

But no one can argue that the masses came to see the parade this year.

I didn't make my way to 1st Ave., but I can tell you that Central Avenue was chocked full of people to the Civic Center.

Families started lining the streets early in the morning, hoping to snag that perfect spot for the Fourth of July parade.
