It's no secret that the cost of just about everything is going up, and the same can be said for the City Of Great Falls.

In an effort to address the public safety budget shortfall, The City of Great Falls asked the voters to approve a mill levy on the last ballot.
The voting population in the Electric City opposed that mill levy.
But it's not just emergency services that have seen the increase in expenses.

Almost every service the city provides has experienced a substantial cost increase.
That cost increase instigated a conversation on June 18, 2024, about a potential tax increase for the city of Great Falls.

A public hearing must be held before the city of Great Falls can issue a tax increase.
That meeting was held on July 16th, 2024.

- $9.01 annually for a $100,000 market-value home.
- $27.03 annually for a $300,000 market-value home.
