Great Falls Woman Sent To Prison For Fentanyl Trafficking

A Great Falls woman has been sentenced to three years, two months, and three years of supervised release for trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Courtney Price, 28, pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances in January after law enforcement discovered the drugs in her vehicle.

Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided over the case.

Great Falls Fentanyl Trafficking Details

According to the court documents, on February 8, 2023, law enforcement initiated a traffic stop on Price's vehicle.

Later, a search warrant was executed on the vehicle, and at that time, law enforcement discovered fentanyl, meth, and a firearm.

In an interview, Price admitted that she knew that there were drugs in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

She also said that she was being paid to deliver the fentanyl for her passenger.

The fentanyl was coming from Washington to Great Falls.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Tara J. Elliott prosecuted the case.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Homeland Security Investigations, and Russell Country Drug Task Force.
