United States Attorney Jesse Laslovich has announced that Assistant U.S. Attorney (AUSA) John Newman will oversee the Election Day Program for the upcoming general election on November 5, 2024.

Newman, appointed as the District Election Officer (DEO) for Montana, will handle complaints about voting rights, fraud, and threats against election officials.

“Every citizen must be able to vote without interference or discrimination, and election officials should serve without facing threats of violence, said Lasovich.”
