Even Easier Way Plus Tips for Adoptees in Montana for a Birth Certificate
An even easier way to obtain your certificate is by contacting the Clerk and Recorder of your birth county. The application is similar, my delivery time was only 4 days, and I saved myself some money.
However, as an adoptee, there are a couple of tips I wanted to share to help speed up your process. I made the mistake of including my birth father's name instead of my adopted father's name. I didn't realize that my certificate had been changed to reflect my adoption! Doh!
Once my correction was made on my application, it was immediately accepted and mailed out. Easy-peasy! Make sure you also know your mother's maiden name and both parent's middle name as well.
