Ordering a Certificate of Birth from the State of Montana

In Montana, the Office of Vital Records can issue you a copy of your birth certificate.  There are several ways to retrieve it including:

  • Call VitalChek to use a credit card over the phone (Additional fees will apply)
  • Place an order by mail
  • In person

Once my correction was made on my application, it was immediately accepted and mailed out.  Easy-peasy!  Make sure you also know your mother's maiden name and both parent's middle name as well.
