These natural methods to weed eradication are pretty basic, and easy.
- Pour boiling water on them - Pouring boiling water directly onto the weed in your garden should shrivel even the toughest of weed
- Smother them - Clover and crabgrass can be tackled with several layers of newspaper. The lack of sunlight will eventually kill them. Plus, newspaper is biodegradable and can prevent other weeds from sprouting
Other remedies include:
- Salt them - Have extra rock salt from the winter? Sprinkle it on garden paths or walkways to make a barrier along lawn edgings and other places your mower might not reach. Careful, salt can eventually erode surfaces like concrete.
- Pour vinegar on them - Douse the weed in vinegar and within a few days it should be gone for good. This is a great method for plants with long root systems such as dandelions.
