Beloved Great Falls Landmark Needs a New Director
If you think iconic buildings in the Electric City area, one of the oldest in the city probably pops into your mind. Being directly in the center of Great Falls, the huge sandstone structure is hard to miss.
Since 1977, it has been known as the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art, or "The Square". Since it first opened its doors in 1896, the Square has seen many changes, and it is in store for another.
Executive Director Leaving, Search is on for Replacement ASAP in Great Falls
In a recent interview and press release, Sara Johnson, the operations manager for the museum stated that current Executive Director Sarah Justice would be exiting her role for a new position in Missoula, MT.

The museum will still be in great hands, according to Johnson. It was also announced that Nicole Maria Evans would be serving as the interim director. In accepting the new role, Evans stated that "I’m entrusted to continuing to work closely with the dedicated staff, the board, and the broader community to sustain the institution and promote a strong welcoming environment for the permanent Executive Director so that they may succeed and continue to make the museum flourish."
Board Hopes a New Director will be Named by February 2025 in Great Falls
As part of the announcement, the museum is on the search for a new director immediately in Great Falls. The board of directors at the facility have opened up a national search for the position and hope to see a new director by February 2025. Interested parties can find out more here.

The Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art is located at 1400 1st Avenue North in Great Falls. Admission is FREE to the public. Visitor hours: Tuesday 10am to 9pm, Wednesday through Friday 10am to 5pm, and Saturday from 10pm to 3pm, Sunday and Monday closed. Closed on select holidays.
