• Registration will be in person at each location or parents can sign up their child online with GFPS

How To Register Your Child for Kindergarten at GFPS

As our current school year begins to wind down in the next couple of months in Great Falls, staff are already looking ahead to the 2025-2026 school year.

As part of that preparation, it is almost time to begin registration for kindergarten classes in the public school system in the Electric City.  Are you ready?

Registration to be Held at Each School in Great Falls

Open registration for kindergarten in GFPS system is set for May 7th, 2025.  To register a child, parents can visit their school within their neighborhood area between 8am and 4pm.

All children from Malmstrom Air Force Base will register at Loy Elementary for the upcoming school year.  For those parents in the Giant Springs, Riverview or Meadowlark areas, two proofs of residency will be required.

Make Sure to Have Your Paperwork for Your Child in Great Falls Ready

To register, children must be 5 years of age on or before September 10, 2025.  In person registration is encouraged, but individuals can also register online with GFPS.
