6 Montanans Competing For NFL Roster Spots In The 2025 Preseason
Several NFL preseason games last weekend featured Montanans.
There are players from Kalispell, Butte, Bozeman, Dillon, and Billings featured on NFL rosters this preseason.
Some are trying to make a regular season roster for the first time. Others are racking up reps to push their career to the next level.
Here are the 6 Montanans on an NFL roster organized by longest tenured to rookies.
Will Dissly - Los Angeles Chargers (Bozeman)
Dissly enters his 8th year in the NFL and his 2nd with the Los Angeles Chargers. Dissly is coming off career highs in receptions (50) and yards (481) in his first season with the Chargers and Justin Herbert.
Troy Andersen - Atlanta Falcons (Dillon)
Andersen enters year 4 with the Atlanta Falcons. After a successful rookie season, Andersen's last two years have been hampered by injury, playing in just 9 games. If he can stay healthy, Andersen should be a mainstay in Atlanta's defense.
Patrick O'Connell - Seattle Seahawks (Kalispell)
O'Connell is in year 3 with the Seattle Seahawks. O'Connell has been a member of the Seahawks' special teams unit for the last two seasons, playing in 6 games with 3 career tackles.

Dylan Cook - Pittsburgh Steelers (Butte)
Cook joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice squad in 2022. The Steelers signed the former Grizzly in 2023 and have bounced him up and down from the practice squad to the main roster, but he hasn't appeared in an NFL regular season game.
Junior Bergen - San Francisco 49ers
Bergen made his NFL preseason debut on Saturday, August 9th, 2025 with a solid punt return. Go figure.
Tommy Mellott - Las Vegas Raiders
Touchdown Tommy is in uncharted territory as a wide receiver and returner. The Butte native and former Bobcat quarterback made his debut last weekend, racking up his first catch in the NFL.
