Montana’s Fastest Growing Town, And It Isn’t Bozeman
Thinking of moving to Montana? Or, do you already live here and are looking to relocate somewhere else in the state?
Even though things may have slowed down a little on the "Montana Migration", folks are still moving here, and several Montana towns are seeing significant growth. We've talked about places like Billings, Bozeman, Kalispell, and Missoula have been flooded with new residents, but it's not just those towns that are seeing massive growth.
The Western part of the state continues to grow as people move here for the views, the adventure, and the outdoor accommodations. I can't think of a better place to spend a summer (unless there's smoke in the air), and while winters can be a bit brutal, they provide all kinds of opportunities for those who love that time of the year.

What is the fastest-growing town in Montana?
I'm guessing many folks will say Bozeman. While that was true for a few years, Bozeman is not the fastest-growing town in Big Sky Country, but it's only located a few miles from the town that is.
According to American Expedition, which has listed the fastest growing town in each state, when it comes to Montana, that honor goes to the city of Belgrade.
Belgrade is a charming town that is home to the Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport and the big Amazon Distribution Center, and is growing at a quick pace. The town continues to attract businesses, and the people are friendly. There are plenty of parks to enjoy, and with quick access to the Bridger Mountains and multiple streams and rivers, it's a great location to call home.
Neighborhoods are being constructed in multiple areas, and for many that want to live close to Bozeman, but don't want to pay Bozeman prices, Belgrade is a great fit. And while only a few miles separate the two, there are some pretty big differences between the towns.
The first being population, Bozeman is much bigger. The second is attitude. There is a difference in attitude between the two towns; Bozeman is a little more liberal and laid back, while Belgrade tends to be a little more conservative.

The question is, how long before the two towns merge into one? While that might ruffle some feathers, the truth is Bozeman is growing towards the west...which is towards Belgrade. So, at the current pace, it's just a matter of time before two of the fastest-growing towns in Montana become one.
