
MHP Makes 51 Arrests; Seizes Massive 28 Pounds Of Drugs
Major Interdiction Operation Removes Drugs From Community
The streets of St. Regis and really all of Montana just got a little safer, thanks to the Montana Highway Patrol.
From December 7 to 11, the MHP ran a big interdiction operation in St. Regis, taking illegal drugs off the streets.

Multi-Agency Effort Leads To 51 Arrests
On December 16, the Highway Patrol reported they had confiscated over 14 pounds of meth, nearly 14 pounds of cocaine, 4 grams of fentanyl powder, and 118 grams of marijuana.
They also made 51 arrests, working with MHP’s Criminal Interdiction Team (CIT) and Strategic Enforcement Traffic Team (SETT), alongside the U.S. Border Patrol, the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, and the Air National Guard Counterdrug aviation crew.
Of those 51 arrests, 41 were deportation arrests.
Montana Highway Patrol Praises Teamwork
Around the same time, the CIT had another bust in Billings, making three more deportation arrests and seizing over 14 pounds of meth.
Col. Kurt Sager of the MHP had this to say about the operation:
“I am proud of the outstanding work that our teams did during this operation to keep drugs and fugitives off our streets. By partnering with local agencies, we continue to keep Montana a safe place for all.”
