Just One Montana Hospital Was Given A "D" Safety Grade

Healthcare is one of the biggest issues facing America today; from the cost to the quality of care, it can vary from one hospital to the next.

You probably don't think about the level of safety at your hospital until it's time to use it, and then it can be very apparent if your safety is in good hands, or in the case of one Montana hospital, not so good hands.

How Did This Montana Hospital Get It's Grade

Twice a year, the Leapfrog Group, an organization that is trying to improve hospitals and healthcare across the nation, puts out their list on each state's "Hospital Safety Grades."

When it comes to giving out these grades, they mainly focus on surgeries and infections, along with other complications from care, but there is much more which you can read about here. There are also numerous safety experts from Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, and Stanford University, so when they say this Montana hospital is rated "D" for safety, perhaps we should listen.

This isn't the first time Logan Health has been scored this low, as they also received a "D" rating in the spring of 2021, but since then they had maintained a "C" rating before this newest rating.

Leapfrog rated a total of 9 hospitals in Montana, and 3 received an "A" rating; find out which hospitals they are in the gallery below.
