What Weather Forecasters Are Saying About Montana This Summer

With Memorial Day right around the corner, that means the unofficial start of summer in Montana is almost here.

So what are the weather forecast experts saying this summer under the Big Sky is going to look like?

Farmers’ Almanac And Old Farmer’s Almanac Summer Forecasts

When it comes to long-range forecasts, there are usually two names people think of: Farmers' Almanac and The Old Farmer's Almanac.

Both publications have been around for more than 200 years, but this will actually be the final summer forecast from the Farmers’ Almanac before it stops publication later this year.

Even though the two are technically competitors, they’re both pretty much saying the same thing for Montana this summer.

Hot And Dry Summer Weather Expected In Montana

According to both forecasts, we should expect a hot and dry summer with very little moisture, which could also mean another smoky wildfire season.

The only real difference is that The Old Farmer’s Almanac thinks western Montana could stay a little cooler, while the Farmers’ Almanac says we might finally get some decent rain and thunderstorms by August.

So honestly, it sounds like a pretty standard Montana summer forecast, which basically means expect the unexpected.

Because if there’s one thing we all know about Montana weather, it’s that the second you think you’ve figured it out, it changes.
