Montana’s Favorite Casual Dining Spot Just Got Dethroned

In between fast food and a regular sit-down restaurant is the fast-growing industry known as the casual dining restaurant.

Turns out there is a new #1 rated casual dining restaurant in America, yet sadly we've only got three locations in Montana.

Montana’s Casual Dining Scene: What’s Driving The Shift?

In today's economy, more people are cooking at home and going out to eat less often than in the past.

Despite the trend of cooking at home more frequently, families still choose to dine out for special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, and other celebrations.

What they are choosing are places that still offer a wait staff but with a menu consisting of lower-costing options along with a fun environment.

Great Falls Is Next For This Popular Chain

For years, Olive Garden was the most popular casual dining restaurant in Montana, and it has been a favorite among locals for a long time.

Today a new #1 has taken over, and while at the moment they only have three locations in Montana, there are plans for more.

We're of course talking about Texas Roadhouse, which is hoping to open a location in Great Falls to add to their current operations in Billings, Missoula, and Bozeman.

Having never eaten at this restaurant, I can't say if it's good or not, but according to Restaurant Business Online, they have become #1 thanks to investing in their staff and operations along with keeping costs lower than inflation.

That strategy seems effective to me, and I am excited about their upcoming expansion into Great Falls.
