Neo-Nazis Think They Can Speak Up In Montana - We Can’t Let Them

I'm going to take a bold stance here, but I don't like Nazis.

I know. I'm really sticking my neck out with that statement, aren't I?

White Supremacist Incidents Across Montana

Here's the thing though: it feels as if certain residents of Montana are becoming more vocal about their hateful beliefs.

Recently in Great Falls, white supremacist fliers using Charlie Kirk's image were found in multiple people's yards.

In Missoula a man was just arrested for assault that was linked to antisemitism, and then the man arrested admitted to the police that he was a Nazi and a member of the "4th Reich." Neo-Nazis even held a rally in Missoula back in April of this year.

Minority Extremists Still Pose a Danger

I know that things have never been sunshine and rainbows all throughout history, but it felt as if just a decade ago we were striving to be better people, and those who preached hate retreated to the shadows.

Thankfully, these people are still a minority in Montana. But as the saying goes, if there are 9 people at a table and a Nazi sits down, if no one leaves, there are now 10 Nazis at the table.

Montanans Can Fight Hate

We have to fight back and not let these people get a foothold in Montana. It's about speaking up when you hear bigotry, it's about supporting causes and groups that are marginalized, and it's about reminding people that Montana is a state that is fair and decent and where everyone is welcome.

If Montanans stand together, we can ensure that hate will have no home here.
