Walking: Famous Places Around Bozeman That Are One Mile Apart
Looking for a quick walk around the Bozeman area? We tried to figure out some cool walking routes that were exactly one mile...that way we could fit a round trip on our lunch break (or whatever) AND see the best of the area.
Weird? Maybe. But we don't always have time for a long hike or to figure out "where to go" when we just want to get a little exercise. This way, we've got built-in options around Bozeman anytime we need a little walk and some scenery.
All of the "walks" listed below are just about one mile. (Okay, maybe a tenth of a mile off sometimes, but you know what we were after.) Unless there's construction going on, you should have a safe walking path of some sort between all of our chosen routes.
Certainly, some are more "famous" than others. But all of the start and end points are well-known in the Bozeman area. There might actually be a lot of history BETWEEN the two points. It's up to you if you just want to walk or if you'd like to Google for more info.
For a little perspective, walking one mile equals about 2,000 steps. Those looking to get back into shape can start small, and work your way up. Like most things, just start anywhere...and one mile is a good start!
According to RunWithCaroline.com: "Walking one mile a day (around 2,000 steps on average) correlates highly with building a more active lifestyle, losing weight, and improving overall health and fitness. Yet the benefits of walking extend to more than just the physical aspect. Walking is also fantastic for our mental health."
