Amazing, Who Knew This Would Actually Work? Turns Out It Does
You ever watch a movie or TV show and think to yourself, well that would never work in real life. Horror movies are the worst culprit for this in my opinion. So many choices these characters do end up putting them in the path of the killer. Most people in real life would never hide in the shed with all the chainsaws, but in horror movies it seems like the best idea.
Well the other night I did something that I thought was just a TV or Movie trope.
I pulled my daughters tooth out by tying dental floss around it and slamming shut a door.
I think I might have been more scared than she was. I didn't want to hurt her if it didn't work. I told her it "this might not work, and it could hurt pretty bad either way."
She just told me to pinky promise no matter what happened that I would draw animals with her afterwards. Talk about being strong and brave.
Well after our pinky promise it was time, time for me to be brave. I asked, "are you ready?" then slammed the door shut. I was so relieved when I heard the tooth start bouncing off the tile in the bathroom.
After it was all said and done, there were a few tears and lots of blood, but the tooth came out. I don't know what I would have done had the tooth not come out. I probably would have cried more than her.
I of course kept my promise and we spent the rest of the night drawing animals.
