Ranking Montana Towns For Hallmark Movie Potential

We all have our favorite Christmas movies we watch every year. It could be Home Alone, Christmas Vacation, or even Die Hard, which, yes, is a Christmas movie.

But if there’s one place pumping out Christmas movies non-stop, it’s the Hallmark Movie Channel.

The Hallmark Movie Channel Christmas Formula

We’re all familiar with the classic formula: a small-town girl who moved to the big city experiences some sort of mishap and finds herself back in her hometown for Christmas.

While she’s there, she meets the handsome local boy who never left and now spends his time nursing baby llamas back to health. They 'meet cute', fall in love, and, of course, end up living happily ever after.

The website The Action Network decided to have some fun with this concept and examined thousands of towns across America.

They measured things like small business density and how much snow a town gets each winter, all to figure out which towns have the best Hallmark movie potential.

Kalispell, Montana

According to them, Kalispell would be the top spot for a Hallmark movie set in Montana.

The Odds Of Kalispell Becoming A Hallmark Filming Location

That said, the chances of it happening aren’t great. Kalispell only averages about an inch of snow in December, while the top three towns all get more than 15 inches that month.

That gives Kalispell just a 1.4% probability of ever becoming a Hallmark filming spot.

So while we might not see a Christmas movie filmed under the Big Sky anytime soon, Montana has still been the backdrop for plenty of blockbuster movies over the years. 👇
