One Of America’s Best Christmas Destinations Is Here In Montana

As my kids get older and get more involved with all the pageantry of Christmas, the idea of taking them on a Christmas vacation starts to become less of an idea and more of a reality.

Thankfully, when the time comes, I won't have to travel very far, as Montana is home to one of the best places to travel to when it comes to Christmas time fun.

Christmas In Montana

There is just something magical about Christmas in Montana and the snow-covered mountains, especially.

It's that natural beauty that led Reader's Digest to include one Montana town in their recent list of "The Best Christmas Towns in America."

They say you should visit the places on their list at least once, and while you may have already visited this place in the summer, the change that takes place in the winter is something to truly behold.

The Most Magical Montana Christmas Transformation

Reader's Digest said people should visit Bigfork if they are looking for a mountain escape this Christmas.

Each year the residents of Bigfork turn their town into "Montana’s Christmas Village," with a full Christmas makeover.

You'll find skiing here, along with ice fishing, dog sledding, and more.

Plus there is a holiday art walk, a tree lighting ceremony, a parade, along with music and more being performed at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.

It's not the only place in Montana to visit if you're looking to create some family memories this Christmas. Check out these other great places to visit around the Big Sky for Christmas in the gallery below.
