Spring Ahead This Weekend: March 8th
This year, the “spring ahead” happens this weekend, March 8th.
One hour forward, a little extra daylight in the evening, and a lot of groaning from anyone who hates losing sleep.
Of course, we all know we aren’t actually getting more daylight, and plenty of Montana residents are just plain tired of fiddling with clocks.
Then there’s the other big debate surrounding this topic.
Daylight Saving Time vs. Daylight Savings Time
Is it “Daylight Saving Time” or “Daylight Savings Time” with an S?
The answer? It’s Daylight Saving Time—no S.
Some folks get confused because it sounds like a savings account, but we aren’t really saving any time here. We’re just shifting the clocks to make better use of daylight later in the day.
Don’t worry too much if you keep saying “Daylight Savings Time.” It’s become so common that most people accept it, even if it isn’t technically correct.
