First Concert Memories and Your Comments (photos)
The first concert a person attends is very special. Whether it’s an act you like and are into, or it’s something your parents love and your just there, it’s pretty special when a person finally experiences live music.
I’ve been a part of live music since I’ve had tangible memories. My father worked front of house lights for many bands in Great Falls during the 90’s and dragged me everywhere including north of town into a field for Wheatstock back in the day, do you remember Wheatstock? I personally don’t count some of that until I made a conscious decision to go enjoy a concert. But, that’s just me. I’ll go first. My first concert was Arlo Guthrie at The Mansfield Theater in the 90’s. It’s a memory that sticks with me today, I remember mostly every minute of it, and I thank my dad for it quite often.
Music has always been in a thing in our household(s). First, because my parents were both into music, my mother being a trained musician and my father loving anything with a beat or groove. Second, my parents seeing music as an obsession of mine since birth and ran with it always handing me CD’s, tapes and vinyl as I grew up.
We took to Facebook to ask if you remember your first concert and you didn’t disappoint. We pulled shots straight from comments, many of you were at the same show, or seen you first at the Montana state fair. Hopefully you see yours. If you didn’t say anything, you can still comment on social media right now.
Most of your responses are from concerts right here in the Electric City.
Here we go.
We see a bunch of first concerts at the State fair!!

Joan Jett is a popular subject.
It's always good to bond over shared concert experiences. Especially when they are the same one!
