"The infant has succumbed to her injuries and died. We are not releasing names, to ensure family notifications have been made," Great Falls police announced on social media.
"The charges for the suspect will be amended to homicide."
Suspect's Charges
According to Cascade County court records, Thomas has a history of crime that includes burglary and theft and now, authorities will be charging him with homicide.
I'm no legal expert but because of the nature of the crime and based on my research, it's likely that the suspect will be charged with deliberate homicide which carries a penalty of anywhere between 10 years and life imprisonment, and even the death penalty.

There have been reports of fake GoFundMe accounts being shared across social media so donate with caution and confirm that your good intentions are going to the right place.
Authorities have not confirmed an official GoFundMe although there are links being shared all over social media.
"We cannot confirm any legitimate fundraising efforts," Great Falls police said in their post.
