How to Gain Entry to Benefis North Tower Beginning Monday

Patients and visitors to our major care services known as the North Tower in Great Falls may want to give themselves a few extra minutes to get to their doctor appointments or visit family members and friends.

Beginning on Monday November 10th, 2025, Benefis Health System's North Tower entrance will begin to look a little different than normal.  And it also means that the area will be closed to public entry for construction into much of 2026.

How to Gain Entry to Benefis North Tower Beginning Monday

Beginning Monday, visitors to the hospital should begin to use the South Tower Entrance 2 for the best option.  From the main floor, getting to the North Tower is as follows:

• Take the stairs to the elevator for the 2nd floor
• Follow the concourse on the 2nd floor to the North Tower for the receptionist desk
• Access to the Native American Welcoming Center will be through the external door near the center

Once there, access to the North Tower services such as surgery reception and waiting, laboratory, and North Tower patient rooms are available to patients and visitors.  Detour signs helping to guide the way will be posted throughout the building.

Six Decades of Service from the North Tower in Great Falls, Montana

The Benefis North Tower was originally built in 1965, offering the latest mid-century medical technology to the ever-growing Electric City.  But as technology has continued to change, this new update will bring the facility into the 21st century.

To give an idea of the advancements since being built, Benefis offered a unique perspective of just how far we have come in six decades.  The North Tower was around before any of these:

• The first vaccines for mumps and rubella (1966-1967)
• The identification of Lyme disease (1975)
• The first insulin pumps for diabetes (1979)
• The commercial use of CT and MRI scanners (1971, 1980)
