This is one main street in Montana that hasn't changed in decades and can make you feel like you are stepping back in time.

Any Main Street you come across, you can tell you many things about the city or town. Main Street's the lifeblood of any small town or city and can show you what the town used to be or where it might be heading down the road. In Montana,  many Main Streets seem trapped in the past, and we love it.

The architecture and the long-standing small businesses are essential parts of Main Streets in Montana, and one Main Street has received high praise.

The Travel made a list of the Best-Looking Main Streets in America, and surprisingly one Montana Main Street landed on the list. What town in Montana landed on the list? It's the quaint ski town of Red Lodge.

Red Lodge's Main Street is what you would expect most cowboy towns to look and feel like. Red Lodge sits next to a ski hill, and Main Street is filled with businesses and restaurants that have stood the test of time.

Red Lodge's most iconic buildings are made from classic brick and wood and feel warm and welcoming. Even though most of Red Lodge has a classic feel, some new businesses are fantastic for shopping if you want to feel like a Montana cowboy.

Even though we agree about Red Lodge landing on this list, Montana has a few other Main Streets that deserve recognition.

First, there is Livingston. Livingston sits at the head of the Paradise Valley, and their Main Street will have you taking out your phone for every photo opportunity you can get. The gorgeous throwback neon signs and the brick buildings are iconic.

The other Main Street in Montana that should be considered is Whitefish. Another classic mountain town, Whitefish's Main Street, gets shut down for festivals and celebrations, and every block has shopping, restaurants, and stores to check out.
