When You See The Top 10 List Montana Just Made You’ll Be Mad
Montana Ranks In The Top 10
Montana is often overlooked as a land locked state. It also doesn't help we don't have the population to be considered a "cultural" destination like Los Angeles or New York City.
That doesn't mean we are so void of any redeeming qualities that our beautiful state landing on a recent top 10 list is sure to ruffle a few feathers.
Montana's Popularity Has Been Growing Lately
You would think that with the success of "Yellowstone" and all the recent transplants to Montana we wouldn't find ourselves on this list, but here we are.
You might be saying "Nick, enough, tell us what the top 10 list is about."
Well, apparently the website World Population Review thinks Montana ranks in the top 10 for most boring states in America.
Montana is the 8th Most Boring State
How is it a state with both Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park is boring?
Well here is what World Population Review used to rank said boring states,
- Percent of the population over 60
- Percent of the population over 15 that is married
- Percent of household with kids
- Population density
OK, so we know their metrics, so what do they say about Montana in particular,
Montana is yet another state that is both considered beautiful and boring. The state spans 145,552 square miles with a population of 1.1 million people. This means Montana has the third-lowest population density of 7.42 people per square mile. About 16% of Montana’s population is over 65, and 52% of households are married. Montana, however, has the fourth-lowest percentage of households with kids at 28%.
You know what, let people think we're boring.
We can go back to being ignored like we used years ago and I think we'll all be a bit happier for it, don't you?
WOULD A BORING STATE HAVE SO MANY BEAUTIFUL QUOTES ABOUT IT?
