Montana's Most Famous Restaurant Is Not The One You'd Expect

Food is like art; everyone has a different opinion on what makes it special.

That is why I find it amusing that a website would claim a particular restaurant is the most famous in Montana.

This Restaurant Is Gaining Legendary Status

Being famous can go both ways; you can be famous for being really good, and you can be famous (or infamous) for being really bad.

In this case, the website LoveFood chose to go with the version where they highlight the restaurant that's serving up good food.

In fact, that's what their most recent article, "Legendary Restaurants That Live Up To The Hype," was about, but did they get it right for Montana?

The Montana Restaurants Locals Say You Must Try

I thought perhaps LoveFood would mention Howard's Pizza or Taco Treat, two Montana-based restaurants that seemingly everyone loves.

However, they went with the Helena restaurant, Lucca's, and here is their reason behind their choice:

Often cited as the state's best restaurant, period, Lucca's is something of a Montana legend, promising punters that 'when you come to Lucca's you're not eating out – you're dining out.' There are impeccably executed Italian classics on the menu – think calamari fritti, veal scallopini, and shrimp fra diavolo

So is this place the best? Would you recommend Lucca's to someone visiting Montana for the first time?
