Haunted Houses In Montana

I'll be honest, I'm a bit of scaredy-cat, or at least I used to be when I was younger.

Now that I'm older (but no wiser), I'm a bit braver when it comes to things like scary movies and haunted houses.

Having said that, I don't think you could pay me enough to spend a night in either of the houses in Montana that have both been named some of the most haunted houses in America.

It does beg the question though, which one is the most haunted, thus the scariest as well.

KEEP SCROLLING TO SEE INSIDE BOTH HAUNTED HOUSES! 👇

Our first haunted house, that the website Big Seven Travel says is the scariest, is in located in Virginia City.

Bonanza Inn in Virginia City, Montana

Here's why they say THIS house is the most haunted house in Montana.

The most haunted house in Montana is in the spooky town of Virginia City. One night here and you’ll undoubtedly feel the poking and prodding of the ghosts who like to play with the guests.

You can book a night in Room 1, which is said to be the most active room in the entire house. In fact, guests report that each night the spirit enters the room and takes form as a spectral nun. So, pack an extra pair of undies, because you’re going to need them.

The other haunted house comes courtesy of the website House Beautiful.

The Copper King Mansion in Butte, Montana

Here's their reason for picking the Copper King Mansion.

Some guests of the inn have experienced a "ghostly presence" in the ballroom.

Not near as convincing as the description for the Bonanza Inn, but that doesn't mean I plan on booking a stay anytime soon.

Check out some photos from inside both houses in the gallery below. 👇
