What City In Montana Is The Most Dangerous?
I personally think Montana is a very safe place to live, work, and raise a family, but I'd be burying my head in the sand if I said there wasn't crime happening as well.
When it comes to crime in Montana, most people point to places like Billings or Great Falls and say crime is out of control, but honestly sometimes the smaller towns are more crime-infested.

That's not to say these small towns have MORE crimes happening, but they do have more crimes happening when considering the amount happening per capita.
That's how the website Area Vibes was able to come up with their list of the 10 most dangerous places to live in Montana.
The total crimes per 100,000 people push those smaller towns up towards the top of the list while the biggest cities go down.
Is Crime Out Of Control In Montana?
The general feeling for most people is that crime is out of control under the Big Sky.
Thankfully, the hard data statistics aren't showing that, according to the Montana Board of Crime Control.
I can't stress enough how I am not saying there is no crime, but the feeling that some people have that crime is rampant just isn't the reality.
That being said, the following 10 cities in the gallery below do have problems with crime, and we hope that in 2025 the people living there won't be the latest victim.
