The "People for Ethical Treatment of Animals" or PETA really have no shame when it comes to ticking people off. Like the time they targeted the most Irish city in America. PETA chose Butte, Montana as the place to launch their St Patricks Day campaign for people to try eating vegan. PETA tried to pay for a billboard near the parade route for the annual St. Patricks Day Parade. The billboard features a shirtless man with a clover leaf over his mouth, alongside the words "Kiss Me, I’m Vegan. Go Vegan and Get Really Lucky This St. Patrick’s Day.”

Thankfully, the city of Butte shot down the proposal to put up the billboard and deemed it "sexually suggestive."

According to the official press release

PETA also tried to place it at bus shelters around the city, but the transit companies never responded to the inquiries.

“With their healthy hearts, sizzling physiques, and increased stamina, vegans easily score that pot of gold at the end of the bedroom rainbow,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “PETA’s St. Patrick’s Day signs may be sexy, but they send a wholesome message that nothing is more attractive than compassion.”

Apparently, this campaign stems from a recent study in the UK that shows women are more likely to "swipe right" for an online dating profile with vegan prospects rather than for meat-eating ones. But do you think that study applies to an Irish mining town in the middle of cattle country that would rather starve than not eat corned beef and cabbage on St Patrick's Day?
