Remember When The Best Rodeo Clown Starred In A Movie?

The official entertainer of the PBR Rodeo, and Montana Native, Flint Rasmussen will be retiring this year after the PBR World Finals in Fort Worth, Texas this May. He'll then be moving to the broadcast booth as he continues to work in and around the Rodeo circuit. It won't however be the first time Flint has been on camera.

For those who aren't aware of Flint Rasmussen, he's in our opinion the greatest rodeo clown of all time. Flint has been named the PRCA Clown of the Year 8 times, and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo barrel man 8 times as well. We even put him on our Top 10 Athletes Of Montana list.

As we mentioned earlier he's not leaving the rodeo for good, he's going to be on camera as a commentator for PBR. He has previous camera experience, granted it's limited but it's there. Eight years ago Flint starred in a Nicholas Sparks movie called "The Longest Ride." According to this Great Falls Tribune article, he had a "cameo" in the movie.

Flint told the Tribune "I have a five-second cameo, yes." He also went on to say "If you're a star it's a cameo, otherwise you're just an extra." 5 seconds is right, I went to try and find him in the movie on YouTube, and it's hard to tell which one is Flint. Each scene with the clowns are quick cuts, so you can never be to sure which one is him. He's there though because it's listed on his IMDB page, which also lists his work doing stunts for the Kiefer Sutherland film "Cowboy Up."

So, actually that 5 second "cameo" is just a small blip on a career that started out as a dare at the age of 19, and would end with him as the greatest rodeo clown ever. We congratulate Flint on his success in the rodeo arena and look forward to him continuing to entertain rodeo fans from the booth for years to come.
