Every year, the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) website puts out a new data report that shows what thieves are targeting nationally.

One thing the latest data report showed was that vehicle theft had a continuing trend upwards, as there was a 7% increase from the year prior.

According to NICB, you need to immediately call the police, as statistically, over a third of vehicles are found the same day they are stolen, with over 45% within two days.

Next, make sure to call your insurance agent, as most times they'll need a police report before they can start a claim on your stolen vehicle.
