A Big Change At Target That Could Cost You

I've told you numerous times about how cheap I am and how I'm always looking to save a buck or two.

Oddly enough, I've never taken advantage of the policy that Target is now getting rid of, but you might have, and it could cost you some money if you weren't aware it ended.

Shoppers Loved This Deal—Now It’s Gone

Price matching is something that many Montana shoppers have used and loved for many years.

It allowed shoppers to feel confident in making a purchase that should they find it elsewhere for cheaper, they get the product at their preferred store for the same price.

Today, though, Target has done away with their price matching guarantee, sort of, but not fully. Keep reading and we'll explain.

The New Rules: What Target Will Still Match

Back in 2013 Target started a new price matching policy in which they would price match any item that you found at Walmart or on Amazon for a lower price.

However, as of July 28th, 2025, Target will no longer be price matching those two companies and will only be price matching products sold either in store or online at Target.com.

There are some limitations, such as only a 14-day window to price match your item.

If you're wondering the reason for the change, it is due to the fact that most of the price matching they did was for their own stores and website.
