Montana’s Startling Rank For Working Parents Is Insanely Poor
Revealing Montana's Startling Poor Rating For Working Parents
It's almost impossible to raise a family these days on a single income, especially in Montana, which has one of the lowest median salaries in America.
With those low wages, it means both parents are forced to head out of the house and into the workforce, where sadly, Montana is one of the worst states to live and work in while raising a family.

Raising A Child Is EXPENSIVE
I was talking with Jason Laird the other day, and he commented, "I don't know how parents can afford to raise their kids these days."
Every single one of you parents out there reading this is probably shouting "thank you" right now.
Between the cost of childbirth, clothes, food, child care, preschool, and doctor visits, CBS News reports that it'll cost parents just under $240,000 to raise their child to the age of 18.
Montana Is One Of The Worst States For Working Parents
Sadly, Montana is not doing any favors to working parents when it comes to easing the burden of raising a child.
Just maternity leave alone could be improved, as right now Montana employers are only required to allow a "reasonable" leave of absence, which usually only works out to 6 weeks.
As any parent will tell you, that is not enough time for the mother to recover from childbirth and head back to work while suffering no mom guilt or worse, postpartum depression (PPD).
Maternity leave is just one reason you'll see why Montana ranks so poorly for working families in America.
