Great Falls Students Compete And Win

Three cheers for these Great Falls students who recently competed and were winners in a competition put on by C-SPAN.

They submitted documentaries to compete in C-SPAN’s 21st annual StudentCam competition, in which almost 3,500 students submitted 1,700 entries, or "messages" to the President, about what issues in their communities were important to them.

Here Are The Winners

Anabelle Cox: Third Place - $750 Prize

10th grade student Anabelle Cox from Foothills Community Christian School in Great Falls, Montana won 3rd Prize in the High School Western division for her documentary, "Counter Terrorism: Protecting the People of America."

Kimber Koteskey and Trinity Nicholson: Third Place - $750 Prize

12th grade students Kimber Koteskey & Trinity Nicholson from Foothills Community Christian School in Great Falls, Montana won 3rd Prize in the High School Western division for their documentary, "Jails: Correctional Facilities or Mental Health Wards?"

Kalli Koteskey and Kaylee Lewis: Honorable Mention - $250 Prize

9th grade students Kalli Koteskey & Kaylee Lewis from Foothills Community Christian School in Great Falls, Montana won Honorable Mention for their documentary, "American Borders: Hold The Line."

C-SPAN also gave recognition to these students teacher, Dustin Bauer, who helped guide the students and was their advisor along the way with this competition.
