Being from Texas, I heard it all the time when meeting people from other places: “You’re from Texas? Does everyone ride horses to get to where they need to get?”

Funny enough, I hear similar questions and statements from outsiders when I tell them my family and I are now living in Montana.

It might surprise those outsiders to learn that most of us prefer to walk or ride bikes over horses when getting around in Great Falls. As we said, it’s one of the nice parts about living in a town like the Falls - you don’t have to go very far to get anywhere! You’re also helping the environment and getting some exercise out of it… what’s not to love?
