GFPD: Incident In Progress – Great Falls
FINAL UPDATE 9:20 AM - Officers have cleared the residence in question. Simultaneously, a person of interest was taken into custody at another location. Officers will remain on scene at 9th Ave S for a while longer as they wrap up. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this early morning interruption.
UPDATE - Officers are still on scene working to secure a residence in the 1600 block of 9th Ave S. Community members may hear loud bangs as members of the HRU deploy distraction devices and other commonly used SWAT tactics or techniques.
Great Falls Police Department 7:12 am - Community members will see a large police presence, including members of the High-Risk Unit, in the 1600 block of 9th Ave S.
Police are responding to an incident that started at approximately 1 am at a separate location.
Please avoid the area and follow the instructions of emergency personnel at the scene.
