I try to keep as much personal information off the web as possible. However thanks to sites like Facebook and Google tracking everything we do and share, it's kind of impossible to be fully anonymous on the internet. So, unless you have never gone online ever and I mean EVER, this website has a lot of your personal information up for grabs.

The website is called TruePeopleSearch and the amount of information they have about you is staggering. I entered my name and boy was I shocked. They have my current home phone, along with phone numbers prior, even going back to one I had in college. There is my current address plus all my old addresses as well.

They also have listed any known email associated with my name (and I have a lot for both work and personal.) Not only do they have my information, they have information of the people in my life. I'm talking my family members, both immediate and my in-laws. There is even information about my old college roommates listed under my name.

So what to do now?

No, you don't need to do that, but it would be much easier if you could just shoot your computer.

TruePeopleSearch allows you to remove this information, but only if you follow there instructions exactly.  First go to this link https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/removal

You then need to do the following

Sadly this is just one of many sites that are like this out there, and as soon as one is gone, another takes their place. If you know of any others let us know by emailing me and we'll pass it along to others. Stay safe out there Montana.
