The Most Remote Town In America Is Here In Montana
What Is The Most Remote Town Here In Montana?
Montana just went over the one million mark for population, which in a way shouldn't make anyone feel as if they are being over crowded.
However, the fact it took well over 100 years for the state to even reach that total might make some people want to run for hills.
Luckily enough for us living here in Montana we don't need to run for the hills to get away from people.
Not when Montana is home to one of the most remote towns in the contiguous forty eight states.
Sure there are over 3,000 people living there, but considering you'll be over 4 and a half hours away from the nearest "city," it'll sure feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere.

The Most Isolated Town In Montana And America
According to the website A to Z Animals, Montana is home to plenty of remote and isolated locations but they say Glasgow is the most isolated in America.
You may wonder how they came to this conclusion, well here's how:
They made their determination based on how many people lived in each town. They only considered towns with a population of over 1,000. Then, they determined how far away those towns were from a city containing more than 75,000 people.
If you change the parameters to towns with less than 1,000, then one would have to consider the tiny town of Larslan, Montana, the true middle of nowhere town.
Located 32 miles from Glasgow boasting a population of 17 and only having an abandoned school, a dumpster, and the old remains of a post office, it might be truly the most isolated town in Montana.
