Luke Grimes who plays Kacey Dutton on the hit TV series "Yellowstone" dropped his first single on the world today.  Turns out he can not only act, but he can also sing.

His first single called "No Horse To Ride" is not simply good for an actor, it is good for any musician. It is a love story song in which he laments that without his love by his side he would be "all hat no cattle".

Luke who now calls Montana home (he has a ranch somewhere near Missoula) will be releasing a full-length album soon. He was recently signed to Universal Music Group Nashville.

I expect his album to sell well due to his connection with the "Yellowstone" TV show.  That will not be the only reason it sells well. The biggest reason is because he's teamed up with producer Dave Cobb.

If you aren't familiar with the name Dave Cobb, you are probably familiar with people he's worked with.  To name just a few, Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, John Prine, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, The Highwomen and Rival Sons. In that time he's won 8 Grammys.

So when you already have star power behind your name and you're working with one of the best producers in Nashville, you're probably going to sell a lot of albums.

The other big news is that we will have the chance to see him perform right here in Montana.  He is a special guest in next years "Under The Big Sky"
