A couple months ago, I posted an article talking about ongoing projects by Great Falls Park & Rec.  This week, I thought I'd do an update on a few of them, and since two of them are at the same park, that's where I decided to focus.

Big Sky Indoor Aquatics & Recreation Center

We'll start with the big one.  There's still a big hole in the ground, but it's starting to be filled in.

Not the best picture, I know.  You can find better ones at the GF Park & Rec website for the project, because those ones are taken by people who can actually go on the other side of the fencing.

Lion's Park Tennis Court

You may remember this image from my original article.

Well, here's what it looks like at the moment.

Judging from the evenly-spaced cutouts running along the edge of the new asphalt, I'd say it's still going to be a tennis court when they're done.  I had heard rumors that it was going to be turned into parking spaces to replace the ones that were where the Recreation Center is being built.

UPDATE:  I took that picture early Thursday afternoon.  Later that afternoon, they started placing the fenceposts.

Lion's Park Pavilion

Here's one that isn't a Park & Rec project.  Earlier this month, KRTV reported that the pavilion was going to be repainted as an Eagle Scout project by Shai Simpson.

I don't know if she's finished, but it looks great!

The new paint job was long overdue, in my opinion at least.  I was actually starting to think that it might be demolished as part of the building of the Aquatics Center.

Here's hoping a great park will be even better when all these projects are finished!
