Why Should You Avoid These Destinations?

Once Memorial Day comes along, people start to get the itch to travel, and with kids out of school soon, families start to plan summer vacations.

Can You Still Travel To These Counties If You Want?

The United States Department of State has a level system when it comes to traveling abroad.

  • Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions
  • Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution
  • Level 3: Reconsider Travel
  • Level 4: Do Not Travel

That said, if you want to travel to these places, you are free to do so. Just know that should you find yourself in trouble, the U.S. government may not have the ability to help you out in an emergency.

It's probably in your best interest to avoid these places in the gallery below until they come down to level 2, but remember that even level 1 can quickly become level 4.
