I heartily agree with him; however, there are a few places that Montana residents should avoid if they want to stay safe.

Why Should You Avoid These Destinations?
With Memorial Day being the unofficial start of summer that's when people start to get the itch to travel, as kids will be out of school soon so families start to plan summer vacations.
However, the United States Department of State says to pump the brakes when making your plans.
They regularly issue warnings about places that Americans should avoid for reasons such as war, violence, and kidnapping, just to name a few.

Can You Still Travel To These Counties If You Want?
The United States Department of State has a level system when it comes to traveling abroad.
- Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions
- Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution
- Level 3: Reconsider Travel
- Level 4: Do Not Travel
That said, if you want to travel to these places, you are free to do so. Just know that should you find yourself in trouble, the U.S. government may not have the ability to help you out in an emergency.
It's probably in your best interest to avoid these places in the gallery below until they come down to level 2, but remember that even level 1 can quickly become level 4.
